Police believe a laser pointed at a plane approaching Luton Airport last week may have come from the Hitchin area.

At 8.45pm on Thursday, February 21, a laser was pointed at a plane approaching the airport, with police believing it may have been in the Hitchin area.

In a Neighbourhood Watch email, Police Community Support Officer Alex Bridge said: “We wanted to make everyone aware that this is an offence, it can interfere with the pilot’s vision and put the passengers and the pilot at risk.”

If you have any information call Herts police on 101, quoting crime reference number 41/17276/19.
