A gifted student has demonstrated her ‘first’ for success after achieving a top class honours degree at a leading arts school and securing a sought after job in the fashion trade.
Megan Wallace, 21, from Knebworth achieved a first class BA honours degree in costume interpretation with design from Cleveland College of Art and Design – a prestigious arts school with a campus in Hartlepool.
She has since secured a top job with London-based costumiers Angels Costumes, which supplies costumes for films and TV shows.
Their projects include hit TV show Downton Abbey and Oscar-winning films Gladiator and The Great Gatsby.
The talented graduate, who lived in Hartlepool during her studies, said: “I will soon be working as a trainee costumier for Angels’ fancy dress store in London. It’s an amazing opportunity to develop my career, I have really enjoyed my time at the college immensely.”
Megan said it felt great to chuck her cap in the air after the ceremony.
