Children and adults enjoyed a day learning about wildlife in a Stevenage park last week.
As well as educating them about what wildlife lives in Hampson Park people had the opportunity to hold a real-life owl. One person who took advantage of this was Emily Mae Taylor who got to hold a Tawny Owl. More than 1,200 people attended the day which also featured face painting.
Councillor John Gardner is responsible for environment at the council. He said: “Our summer parks events are again proving very popular among Stevenage families and the nature day at Hampson Park was no exception.”
