THE jury in the John Finney murder trial has gone out to consider its verdict.

The six male and six female jurors left the courtroom at St Albans Crown Court at lunchtime and are now deciding whether to convict the four defendants of the murder of the 42-year-old traveller from Northaw.

Mr Finney's headless and handless body was found behind a garage block in Ickleford in March 2008.

The four defendants in the dock are Mark Curran, 29, of Audley Close, Muswell Hill, Norman Jones, 50, of Princess Park Manor, New Barnet, his son Joseph Jones, 24, of Harlech Road, New Barnet and Gary Mark Lattimore, 40, of Little Heath Road, Bexleyheath.

All four men deny murder.
