Activists are set to protest against privatisation and cuts on Saturday at Stevenage’s Lister Hospital, with balloons, flags, placards, pictures and more.
The event – organised by the North Herts People’s Assembly and called Hands Around Our Hospital – is from 11am to 1pm, with people asked to join hands to help make a circle of support and ‘show the love’ for the NHS.
A spokesman said: “We look forward to supporting our NHS in Stevenage and saying ‘hands off’ to Tory greed.
“No to closures or drops in standards – and no to sell-offs to private companies.”
