HOUSEMATES have been taken back in time to the ‘70s and ‘80s as they take residence in an empty shop unit in Letchworth GC town centre.
The Big Brother-styled project run by Letchworth Arts Centre opened this week with the former Moore’s Pharmacy store in Leys Avenue decked with furnishings from the two decades, as well as music, food and games to enjoy.
Comet reporter Nick Gill will be joining in the fun today (Friday) as part of one of the eight-hour daytime sessions which run through to Friday, October 19.
If you want to join him for a cup of tea or coffee and a chat, email nick.gill@thecomet.net and you could be invited in.
The project, supported by the Heritage Lottery Fund, is part of the run-up to the Letchworth Arts Centre festival of all things ‘70s and ‘80s in Broadway Gardens on November 17 and 18 entitled Now That’s What I Call a Recession.
