Why the need to build on the Green Belt? Why do we need more houses when half of Fairfield Park is still standing vacant, and a bunch of houses in the new development off the Bedford Road between Hitchin and Ickleford?
Where are the petitions from people DEMANDING they live on Green Belt land? Exactly - there aren't any. No-one wants to live here.
Who gave planning permission for all the one and two bedroom flats in Hitchin (and everywhere for that matter). We don't need anymore! This Brownfield land could have been used for building family homes. Clearly the developers are 'leaning' on the Council Planning Departments.
