A RAGING woman dumped by her lover set fire to his suits - and caused 25,000 of damage to his flat.
Distraught Kim Eccott, 23, from Stevenage took revenge on nightclub manager Mark Naylor by torching his clothes with a cigarette, a court heard.
But she started a blaze which seriously damaged his two-bed flat above the Jokers club in Stowmarket, Suffolk, in March.
Devastated Eccott slashed her face and begged Mr Naylor to give her one last chance, said David Wilson, prosecuting at Ipswich Crown Court.
But he said they were finished and as he took her suitcases downstairs she set his suits alight and flames ripped through the flat.
Eccott admitted arson and was given a 52-week jail sentence suspended for two years with a two-year supervision order.
Judge Peter Fenn said that after reading psychiatric and probation reports she was more in need of help than punishment.
Shereen Dyer, defending, said: "This was an impulsive action carried out without any thought of the consequences.
"It would have been better to have cut up his suits rather than setting light to them.
