CHRISTMAS came early for Lorraine Kilby from Sandy.
She washed out the opposition when she won four top-of-the-range appliances from Hotpoint after entering the Cakes for ChildLine text competition.
This was the first time Lorraine had taken part in Cakes for ChildLine which raises money for the vital work carried out by the ChildLine charity.
After being told that she had won, Lorraine said: "I was very excited but at first I didn't actually realise what I had won. So I went on the ChildLine website and I was really surprised at all the appliances I had won - my family couldn't believe it!"
Lorraine added: "I'm particularly pleased to have won the washing machine, as my one is falling apart. It had definitely done its time!"
With three young children, Lorraine confided: "The appliances will get plenty of use and I can't wait to show them off at Christmas when we entertain the family.
