Investigation launched after 12-year-old assaulted in Stevenage

Police are investigating after a 12-year-old boy was allegedly assaulted by a middle-aged man.

The incident is believed to have taken place at around 6.10pm on Letchmore Road in Stevenage on Wednesday.

The victim was approached by an offender, who then pushed him into the road causing him to fall to the floor.

The offender then walked off in the direction of Hellards Road. The suspect is described as a white man aged in his mid to late 20s.

He had a ginger beard and was wearing a white baseball cap with writing on.
