THE inquest into the death of a 28-year-old man who was struck by a train this week has been opened.
David Birtles, of Bronte Avenue in Stotfold, was hit by a train on Bedford railway line on Wednesday.
Police were called just before 10am and he was pronounced dead at the scene.
He died from multiple injuries.
