A motorcyclist was taken to hospital last night after crashing into a ditch.
The East of England Ambulance Service was alerted to a report of a man falling of a motorbike following a collision with a car in Campton Road, Meppershall at 8.58pm. Ambulance crews from Hitchin and Letchworth GC attended the scene.
Ambulance service spokesman Gary Sanderson said: "On our arrival a man was found in a ditch next to the road and following assessments, he had sustained significant injuries. Paramedics rapidly treated and stabilised him before he was conveyed to an awaiting trauma team at Bedford Southwing hospital.
