Police and the family of a man who left his Hitchin home yesterday are becoming increasingly concerned for his welfare.

Paul Beardsley was last seen at about 5pm when he left his home in the town.

The 50-year-old drove off in a dark green N reg Renault Clio and is now believed to be in the Bury St Edmonds area of Suffolk.

Paul is described as a white man of around 5ft 11in tall who has short grey hair and is of a large build. He normally wears jeans, casual brown shoes and may be wearing glasses.

A police spokesman said: “Paul’s family and officers are becoming increasingly concerned for his welfare and would ask anyone who has any information on his whereabouts to contact Herts police on 101.”
