A TAPAS bar decided to think pink and raised in excess of £3,500 for a breast cancer charity in one evening.
The sell out event held at Letchworth GC wine and tapas bar, La Concha, involved a selection of tapas meals, a chocolate fountain, live music and a table magician.
Clothes and wigs were pink and male staff were sponsored to 'go girlie' with the theme.
Peter Colvin, owner of La Concha, said: "We were hoping to raise £1,000, but in total raised in excess of £3,500 for Breast Cancer Campaign. A gentlemen's evening is planned in the new year for prostate cancer research."
Prizes at the raffle and auction included a holiday for six in Scotland, go-karting for eight, a pair of Greek fresco paintings and a digital camera. Money from this raised £2,500 alone.
Co-organiser Di Adkins helped carry out promotional work for the event and local businesses helped with sponsorship and prize donations.
