ADULTS with learning difficulties will benefit from improved day services.

The Grange Youth Club, on Pelican Way in Letchworth GC, has offered to host Baldock and Nightingale Day Services at its refurbished premises.

The scheme, run by Hertfordshire County Council's adult care services, aims to help adults with learning difficulties develop the skills and potential for moving towards a more independent and fulfilling lifestyle while providing some respite for carers.

Sally Newton, executive member for adult care and health, said: "We are very grateful to the youth club for helping us improve our services.

"Many people live in Letchworth but have to travel to Baldock and Hitchin to attend the day service. The club offers a more convenient base to assist them in leading more active, community-based lives.
