Three suspected illegal immigrants were arrested in Stevenage this morning after police spotted a break from a lorry.
The men, all Albanian nationals, were detained on Gunnels Wood Road after officers from Beds Police travelling though the town saw the side curtain of a lorry that had pulled into a lay-by near Astrium being cut open shortly after 9.15am.
The officers called Herts Police at 9.22am and the constabulary took over the operation. The men were arrested on suspicion of illegal entry into the UK.
They are currently in custody at Stevenage Police Station awaiting UK Border Agency officials.
