Thieves broke into a shed in Stevenage on Sunday and stole a distinctive child’s mountain bike.
Police released images today of the Giant mountain bike, which was stolen from an address in Mobbsbury Way, to try and find the thieves.
PC Hayley Frazer is investigating and said: “The bicycle stolen is quite distinctive and I would like to hear from anyone who has been offered it for sale or knows of its whereabouts.
“As this burglary occurred during the day, there may have been other people around and I would also like to speak with anyone who remembers hearing or seeing anything unusual or suspicious in the area between the stated times.”
The bike is from South Africa and has different handlebar grips on each side – an image has also been released of these. It was stolen along with some alcohol between midday and 3pm after the thieves entered the address’s rear garden and forced their way into the shed.
Anyone with information should call PC Frazer on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
