Almost 600 animals lovers turned out for the grand opening of Standalone Farm in Letchworth on Sunday, with more than 100 new annual members added to the books as a new year began.
Firm favourites among visitors were baby piglets, new donkeys Ted and Oscar, and a newborn calf.
Manager Andrew Milich said: “It was a wonderful weekend. The sun was shining and we were really busy.
“The new donkeys were popular and happy to be petted and fussed over.”
The first event to be held at the farm will be next weekend for Mother’s Day, when there will be two days of free arts and crafts led by local artist Kitty Dinners.
