RESIDENTS have celebrated their second anniversary at Symonds House.
The Leonard Cheshire building on Lucas Lane, Hitchin, is home to 20 physically disabled people and also supports others living in the nearby community.
Two years ago the purpose-built centre was opened by Princess Anne and last week they marked the occasion with traditional fish and chips and a quiz.
Staff, volunteers, residents and their families looked back at all that has been achieved over the past couple of years.
Diane Landau, activities organiser and volunteer coordinator, said: "We offer a full programme of daily activities as well as getting people out and about.
"I achieve a lot of this with the help of over 40 volunteers and I'm always looking for more!
"The new minibus donated by Comet readers is in constant use, we could easily use two."
