PLANS to build a controversial children's home are recommended for approval at a meeting next week.
The six-place residential long-stay home will provide accommodation for looked-after children aged 11 to 16 in Weston Way, Baldock.
However the plans have incurred the wrath of local residents who are concerned about the possible impact the home will have on local amenities.
Herts County Council's development control committee meeting next Tuesday is expected to recommend that the director of environment be authorised to grant outline planning permission.
