BEN has a special status at the Blue Cross home in Kimpton.
He is the longest stay dog at the shelter for animals but if a new owner can be found he could be in a home of his own by Christmas.
Ben, who has been in the care of pet charity Blue Cross since May 26, is a neutered Lab cross aged about eight.
He is intelligent and would like a home with someone who is familiar with the fine qualities of Labradors which are adaptable and devoted.
Ben loves playing with a ball and is good to walk on the lead. He does, however, like to chase cats and other small animals so he is looking for a home as an only pet.
Ben knows how to sit, give paw and lay down. He enjoys learning new things.
The hours for viewing the dogs, cats and rabbits at Kimpton are 10am - 4pm Monday to Saturday (Wednesday 10 am - 3 pm). It is closed on Sundays and Bank Holidays.

Blue Cross is housed in converted old farmhouses at Kimpton Bottom Road, Kimpton. The phone number is 01438 832232.
