A PUBLIC consultation which will help determine the future of Hitchin sorting office starts today (Monday).
The postal site, which will see services moved to Stevenage, could be demolished to become a complex made up of flats, shops, cafes, restaurants and leisure facilities, under plans by the new owners.
The site was sold to Whitebarn Developments (Hitchin) Ltd earlier this year.
The consultation will run for six weeks, with feedback delivers to North Herts District Council.
