A Hitchin school is celebrating after being handed a prestigious honour. Whitehill Junior School received the Primary Geography Quality Mark from the Geographical Association.
The award recognises the effort the staff have put into teaching pupils and the emphasis placed on local issues with a global perspective.
Head Steve Mills said: “This is testament to our teaching. I’m pleased we’ve been presented with this quality mark.
“The teacher who put the submission is Dr Andrew Christie and he’s delighted for the school to be recognised this way.”
