PRIMARY school pupils took inspiration from a classic book to celebrate their teacher’s wedding.

Staff and students at Hitchin’s Highbury Infant School dressed as characters from Alice in Wonderland and held a Mad Hatter’s Tea party.

It was held in honour of teacher Alex Ellar, who is now married to Liz, because of his sweet-tooth.

As well as the tea party, there was a theatre performance of the classic Lewis Carroll book and a presentation to Mr and Mrs Ellar.
