A manager at a Hitchin care home is celebrating after completing a 10k race in central London for a special cause.
Kate Peto, marketing manager at Milford Lodge Care Home in Priory End, took part in the run around St James’ Park to raise £250 for the Alzeheimer’s Society.
Monday’s fun run finished on Birdcage Walk in front of Buckingham Palace, with Kate finishing the course in one hour, four minutes and 28 seconds.
She said: “I enjoyed every second and can’t wait to do another. I have the privilege to work at Milford Lodge where we are dementia care specialists, so the Alzheimer’s Society is a charity close to my heart.
“The response I have had from family, friends and work colleagues has been fantastic.”
