Sophie Victoria Webb has created her own fashion label called SVW with her initial range consisting of seven to eight ready-to-wear styles for women.

The 25-year-old businesswoman said: “Starting your own label is a very challenging thing to do. Until you actually do it, you have no idea what goes in to it.

“During the process I wish I had someone who I knew to guide me, but I didn’t – so I’ve learnt a lot along the way, and of course made many mistakes doing it.”

Having gone through the experience Sophie is happy to help guide other youngsters who may have similar dreams, and to act as a mentor.

She added: “The main points I can help with would be how to start a business, where to start, and give others an actual outline of the key points anyone needs to consider when taking the plunge – basically what actually goes in to starting your own brand.

“I’m not launching until next month – but I’ve learnt a lot in the last two years, and there’s only more to come.”

Sophie’s work is already gaining recognition within the industry and is sure to be a hit next month. She bases her style around a ‘minimalist’ look which can be worn by women aged between 18 to 40 or 50.

She explains: “My range is ready-to-wear. It’s tailored pieces and based on designs I’d wear myself.

“It features simple, neutral colours and tones. I’d describe it as ‘clean-cut’ as it doesn’t have a lot of patterns. It’s sophisticated and on-trend.

“Some of the designs can be worn at work just as much as a rooftop bar. I’m really exited, and I hope everyone else will be too.”

Busy Sophie juggles a full-time job in fashion as a key buyer with running her own business, and has praised her boss for the support she has received.

She adds: “I work very long days as running your business is very time consuming.

“Every time I’m just about to go to bed another email comes in. I’ve still got a lot to learn but I’m very excited about what the future holds.”
