The Roaring Meg Retail Park in Stevenage will be alive with the sound of music on Sunday as members of the UK’s largest contemporary choir sing to raise money for the Essex and Herts Air Ambulance.

From 11.30am, singers from the Hitchin chapter of Rock Choir will be belting out upbeat favourites including Don’t Stop Believing, Halo and Footloose.

Rock Choir leader Lizzie Dean said: “Throughout the day we’ll be travelling across the region in support of a charity that does extremely important work in our area.

“We’re aiming to raise as much money as possible. We’ve lined up a range of family favourites to entertain everyone and encourage donations.”

Phil Huby of Aberdeen Standard Investment, owner of the Roaring Meg, said: “I’m delighted we’re able to support the group with fundraising and I’d encourage everyone who visits to donate to such an important cause.”
