Police officers from Hitchin's safer neighbourhood team will be holding their monthly town centre surgery tomorrow (Saturday) where Hitchin residents can meet the team and discuss any problems they have.

Hitchin Pc Jackie Hickman said: ""It is important we work with our communities to further reduce crime in the area. You do not need to make an appointment to come along so please do pop in and say hello. It is a great opportunity to find out what crime prevention work is taking place in the town and to have your say on issues which affect you."

Officers will be at Church House opposite St Mary's between 10am and midday.

Alternatively residents can call 01438 757685 to speak to an officer or go to the safer neighbourhood pages at www.herts.police.uk for more information.
