A MAN accused of burning a woman’s wedding dress appeared in court today (Tuesday).
John James Harris, 25, of Latchmore Close, Hitchin, is accused of destroying the dress, belonging to Kimberley Littlefield, after throwing it on a bonfire.
It is alleged to have happened at a Whitwell property on August 4 this year.
Harris appeared before Stevenage Magistrates’ Court, where he pleaded not guilty to arson.
He will be tried summarily at Hertford Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday, October 9. He was released on conditional bail.
