A MAN from Hitchin has been arrested and charged with assaulting a woman in Stevenage, leaving her with serious injuries.
Jason Harper-Stott, 22, from Bradleys Corner is charged with GBH wounding with intent and was arrested yesterday morning (Sunday) in Peterborough.
It is alleged that he assaulted a woman in her 20s on Plash Drive on April 8.
The woman, who was taken to Lister Hospital, sustained serious injuries but was later discharged.
Harper-Stott has been remanded in custody until his next court appearance.
