A trusty police dog tracked down a Hitchin man who was subsequently arrested for criminal damage in Holwell.
Police dog Blue and his handler were called to help officers at an address on Holwell Road in the village at around 1.20am last Thursday – after damage had allegedly been caused to a property.
The canny canine tracked the suspect from the scene and found him nearby.
A 46-year-old man was later arrested on suspicion of criminal damage and released on police bail until May.
