A FORMER stripper from Comet country and her band mates have become the first act to be voted off this year's X Factor live finals.
All-girl group Kandy Rain, of which Coco Victoria Lloyd who grew up in Hitchin is a member, were booted off the show last night (Sunday) after going head-to-head in a sing-off with Rachel Adedeji.
Kandy Rain performed Christina Aguilera's Stronger, while Adedeji plumped for Pink's Nobody Knows.
Both acts secured two votes apiece from the judges, but Kandy Rain had a smaller proportion of viewers' telephone votes.
Coco, 22, went to St Francis College in Letchworth GC and studied AS levels at North Hertfordshire College before taking up a modelling career and working in a strip club, where she met fellow band members Azi Jegbefume, Khatereh Dovani and Chemmane Applewhaite.
After losing in the competition, Azi, 25, said: "Do you know what? We could not have done any better. We were hoping everyone out there would give us a second chance."
She added: "We enjoyed every bit of the show.
