A MAN in his sixties who fell down a staircase at a snooker club in Hitchin on Friday has died.
Herts Air Ambulance landed in Market Place at about 2.20pm to treat the patient, who had sustained serious head injuries after falling down the stairs at Hitchin Snooker Club.
He was flown to Addenbrooke's Hospital in Cambridge but later died.
A spokesman for Herts Police said: "The incident is being treated as a tragic accident and there is not believed to be any third party involvement. The matter will now be passed over to the coroner.
