A woman has pleaded guilty to animal cruelty after a dog was found starved to death in her home.
Zara Dexter of Willow Tree Lane, Hitchin pleaded guilty to causing unnecessary suffering to two dogs after one dog died and another was so hungry it began to eat it.
Magistrates at Watford County Court who heard the case indicated that they are considering a custodial sentence.
Dexter will be sentenced on September 28 at Hemel Hempstead Magistrates Court.
