Officers investigating an arson outside the Hitchin town centre Starbucks have now released a CCTV image of three girls they want to speak to.
Police said the incidents happened at some point between 12.30am and 1.05am yesterday morning, when rubbish bags stacked up at the side of the Market Place café were allegedly deliberately set on fire.
This caused damage to the Starbucks window and guttering. The blaze was tackled by two passing drain workers, whose actions firefighters said had stopped the incident from becoming much more serious.
