Officers investigating a burglary and car theft in Hitchin have today released a CCTV image of a man they’d like to speak to as part of their enquiries.
Between 3.30pm and 11.59pm on Thursday, May 24, someone got into a home in Hawthorn Close and stole a handbag containing car keys before making off in the victim’s Vauxhall Corsa, which was parked outside.
Det Con Georgina Peggie, who is investigating, said: “I’d like to speak to the man pictured as he may have information that could assist with our enquiries.
“I’d also like to speak to anyone who believes they have information about the burglary that could help our investigation.”
Anyone with information should contact DC Peggie by emailing georgina.peggie@herts.pnn.police.uk, calling the non-emergency number 101 and quoting crime reference 41/863/18, or reporting information online at herts.police.uk/Report.
Alternatively, you can contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111 or crimestoppers-uk.org.
