Prior to the normal meeting a short Extraordinary Meeting was held to discuss and vote in the proposed TG constitutional changes which are designed to make the organisation more user friendly and in line with common practices. Membership cards were presented to new members and cards read out thanking Jane Clark and her husband for making the Summer Supper in their garden so enjoyable. A report was given on the National Council meeting in Harrogate. The orange reading group meet on August 9 at Sonia Hargreaves', the Cotswold tour on July 26 starts at 8.30am from St Mary's Square, evening walks every Wednesday start from the Angel's Reply at 7.30. Arts and Crafts next meet on September 20 at Auriol Flatman's. There is a Quiz Night at Our Lady's Church Hall on August 2 and a fish and chip supper is at Jane Clark's on August 10. The speaker was Katherine Harris who entertained members with some lovely stories. The favourite piece of jewellery competition was won by Diane Canavan. There is no meeting in August, but the competition for the next meeting on September 14 is a favourite cup and saucer.
