A Hitchin author's book based on how she fell in love with a fellow commuter is now outselling the Donald Trump exposé Fire and Fury on Amazon's Kindle store.
Zoe Folbigg’s debut book The Note now sits at fourth place on the Amazon Kindle bestseller list, ahead of journalist Michael Wolff’s seventh-placed book Fire and Fury: Inside the Trump White House.
This is partly due to the fact that a large proportion of Zoe’s books are sold as e-editions, while most sales of Fire and Fury – Amazon’s second best-selling book overall – are for physical copies.
The Note, based on how mum-of-two Zoe met her husband Mark on the 8.21am train from Hitchin to London King’s Cross, has become an international bestseller since she appeared on ITV’s This Morning show in September.
Zoe celebrated the moment when The Note moved ahead of Fire and Fury yesterday by tweeting out a picture of the Amazon Kindle chart, with a line of hearts and the words: “Turns out love does trump hate.”
