YOUNGSTERS are being encouraged to check out a Comet country air cadet squadron.
Hitchin Air Cadet Squadron will be holding an open evening to allow prospective new recruits and parents to ask questions and find out more about the Air Training Corps.
It will be held at the Bedford Road TA Centre on November 8 between 7.30pm and 9pm, with presentations and demonstrations about the opportunities on offer.
Those include the opportunity to fly, undertaking adventurous training, completing BTECs, the Duke of Edinburgh Award Scheme and First Aid.
