The annual Old Town fun fair takes over Stevenage High Street from Thursday for three days.

The road will be closed to traffic from 2.45pm to midnight each day, while the southern car park on Primett Road has two-thirds less spaces due to fair vehicles which arrived on Saturday and will stay for a week.

The license for the fair dates back to 1281, when King Edward I granted a charter for a yearly fair and weekly market to the town. A fair has been held every year since.
