At the Letchworth secondary 73 per cent of students hit the target of 5 A* to C grades, up 10 per cent on last year.
And more students than ever achieved the top A* grade, with standout performances by Christina Farley (11 A*), Emily Al-Hudairi, David Johnson and Lucy Pedric (10 A*), Jessica Wynn (nine A* grades) and Vit Huang and Rachael Hinton (eight A*).
Headteacher Ian Morris said: "All the results are thoroughly deserved and we are absolutely delighted. They are a culmination of a huge amount of work by both students and staff and my thanks go to everyone for making this year's results so good."
