Air Vice-Marshall Elaine West – the highest ranked woman in the RAF – visited Hitchin Girls’ School to inspire pupils as part of their careers week, writes Josie Teschner.
She gave a talk stressing the importance of hard work and not being afraid to make mistakes.
She also celebrated female achievement saying: “Every woman has the ability to maximise her potential and succeed.”
Year 13 student Jasmine Pandit added: “I found her positive attitude inspiring, and made me realise there is no limit to my future.”
