A disgraced Herts police officer from Stevenage has been jailed for three years for manipulating vulnerable crime victims into sex.
Simon Salway was sentenced at Luton Crown Court this morning after being found guilty of six counts of misconduct in public office with regards to five women who had contacted police for help between 2006 and 2014.
The 39-year-old had been trained to deal with domestic violence victims, but exploited their vulnerability, insecurity, and need for male attention.
He had pleaded not guilty to all the offences, and was cleared of one.
