Det Supt Jon Chapman, lead for the county community safety unit, said: "This is an excellent initiative and I'd urge any Hertfordshire residents with concerns around stalking to make use of the service. Of course, if people feel they are in immediate danger, they should always contact 999."

Information, advice and guidance for anyone affected by stalking and harassment is available via a phone line (0300 636 0300) email service (advice@stalkinghelpline.org) and website (www.stalkinghelpline.org).
