A man was today sentenced to eight months in jail after he admitted to sexually assaulting a woman in a Stevenage sex shop.
Alex Lief, of Cranborne Close, Hertford, had previously pleaded guilty to sexually assaulting a woman aged 16 or over at the Private Shop in Queensway on February 23.
The 36-year-old was also placed on the sex offenders’ register for 10 years and ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £100 when he appeared at Cambridge Crown Court.
Lief was arrested hours after police launched a CCTV appeal on February 25.
