The following historic buildings will be opening their doors to the public over Heritage weekend Thursday to Sunday, September 7-10. The Biggin; Walsworth Road Baptist Church; The British Schools Museum; Hitchin Museum; Hitchin Town Hall; Holy Saviour Church; St Mary's Church; and St Ippolyts Church. Admission is free but please check posters and flyers for individual opening times or visit the websites: www.hitchinsociety.org.uk or www.heritageopendays.org. Information leaflets are available from museums, libraries and Hitchin Initiative. Town Centre Guided Walks will take place on Saturday and Sunday 9 and 10 at 2pm with Terry Knight and on Saturday 9 at 11am with Alan Fleck - meet at War Memorial in Churchyard. Donations welcome.
