The theft of a mobility scooter has been described as a “heartless crime” which will have a “major impact” on the victim’s life.
A blue mobility scooter was stolen while parked outside a man’s home in High Avenue, Letchworth GC, between 10.15am to 10.30am on Wednesday.
Pc Michael Doe, who is investigating, said: “This is a particularly heartless crime. The scooter is the victim’s only means to get around and the theft of this item will have a major impact on his lifestyle. I would urge anyone who has any information about its whereabouts to contact police as soon as possible.”
Anyone with information can call police on non-emergency number 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
