Craig Hignett has left Hartlepool United.
The 47-year-old, who was appointed boss in February last year, left his position as Pools boss following Saturday’s 1-0 League Two defeat to Crawley Town.
Stevenage are Hartlepool’s next opponents, with Boro making the trip to the North East this coming Saturday.
Boro beat Hartlepool 6-1 back in September. Sam Collins will take charge of Hartlepool until a successor to Hignett is appointed.
