Youngsters across the county are being encouraged to enter a competition which could win them a chance to tour the Harry Potter studios at Leavesden.

The outing to the Warner Bros Studios attraction, which has rapidly become one of the region’s biggest tourist attraction, could be claimed by anyone aged from nine to 16 who takes part in an online quiz set up by Hertfordshire police in the run-up to Hallowe’en and bonfire night.

The contest is part of a drive to educate young people and cut down on the amount of antisocial behaviour and dangerous use of fireworks that can mar the seasonal celebrations for many. Children aged between five and eight years old can also be winners, with visits to visit Willows Farm animal and play park in Colney Heath.

Police say anyone trick or treating should never go alone, look out for signs that they are not welcome, keep their ‘tricks’ safe and legal, be aware of road safety in the dark and wear something bright.

You can enter the quiz at www.herts.police.uk/halloween before Sunday, November 8.
