TAKING a full hour for lunch is fast becoming a thing of the past, according to research just out.

A study by Post-it Notes found that even where Brits are entitled to a full hour's lunch break, they actually take just a mere 19 minutes and 42 seconds to rush out and grab a bite to eat.

Six months ago, research revealed that the average lunch break was just 26 minutes - which means we've slashed our 'time out' by a staggering 26 per cent in just half a year.

Seven in 10 workers already eat at their desks on a regular basis.
